The SGS PRO 11950 is a single-cut tungsten carbide abrasive bur in the SC-7 ball nose cylinder configuration, designed for material removal, deburring, shaping, and finishing across a wide range of metals. With a 3/4-inch cutting diameter, 1-inch length of cut, and 2.75-inch overall length, this bur fits standard 1/4-inch die grinder collets. The uncoated tungsten carbide head delivers the hardness and edge retention required for demanding applications on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Rated to 19,000 RPM, it handles aggressive stock removal at high speeds without premature wear. Installed by machinists, fabricators, and tool and die professionals.
This bur is suited for use on steel, hardened steel, stainless steel, cast iron, titanium, cermet, nickel, copper, and copper alloys. The SC-7 ball nose cylinder profile makes it well suited for blending radii, contouring, and working in areas where a flat-ended cylinder would leave sharp transitions. Typical applications include weld blending, cavity work, port matching, and surface prep before inspection or coating. The 1/4-inch shank fits the most common pneumatic and electric die grinder collet sizes used in production and maintenance environments.
Fits standard 1/4-inch shank die grinders, pneumatic or electric. Rated for use on steel, hardened steel, stainless steel, cast iron, titanium, cermet, nickel, copper, and copper alloys per industry specification SC-7.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists or fabricators familiar with rotary cutting tools. Secure the 1/4-inch shank firmly in the collet and confirm the collet nut is fully tightened before use. Always verify the die grinder speed rating does not exceed 19,000 RPM before mounting this bur. Wear appropriate PPE including safety glasses and gloves, and ensure the workpiece is properly clamped or fixtured before engaging the tool.
