The SGS 77195 is a single-end corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance finishing operations in demanding metalworking applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide and finished with a TM coating, this tool handles steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. The 7-flute, close-pitch geometry produces smooth surface finishes while maintaining chip clearance at elevated feed rates. A 0.0600-inch corner radius protects the cutting edge from chipping and extends tool life in hard and abrasive materials. The variable index design reduces harmonic chatter, making it well-suited for high-speed finishing passes where surface quality is critical.
This end mill fits standard straight-cylindrical end mill toolholders with a 0.5-inch shank. It is sized for CNC machining centers and manual mills used in tool-and-die, aerospace, and general precision machining environments. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium, with rated secondary application in hard materials. The right-hand cut, right-hand spiral flute configuration is the standard orientation for most vertical machining center setups. A chipbreaker along the flute length reduces cutting forces during extended finishing passes.
Designed for use with standard end mill toolholders accepting a 0.5-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Part of the SGS Series 77C corner radius end mill family, rated for steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the toolholder manufacturer's clamping torque guidelines. Power down and lock out the spindle before loading or removing the end mill. Confirm shank engagement depth meets the toolholder minimum before tightening. This tool is not center-cutting and is not suitable for plunge entry; use a ramping or helical entry strategy for pocket operations.
