The SGS 77171 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for finishing operations in ferrous and high-strength materials. It features a 3/8-inch mill diameter, a 0.030-inch corner radius, and seven helical flutes with a close pitch arrangement. The TiN coating reduces friction and extends tool life in demanding cuts. With a 1-1/2-inch length of cut and a 3-1/2-inch overall length, this is a long-reach configuration suited for deeper cavities and step milling. The right-hand cutting direction and variable index geometry help reduce chatter and improve surface finish on production runs.

This end mill is built for finishing passes on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. The micrograin carbide substrate maintains edge integrity in hard materials. It is used in CNC machining centers and milling machines held in end mill holders.
