The SGS 77145 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance finishing operations in demanding metalworking applications. It measures 3/8 inches in diameter with a 15/16-inch length of cut and a 0.0300-inch corner radius, making it well suited for producing precise radiused edges and contoured surfaces. The 7-flute, single-end geometry operates on a right-hand cutting direction with a 37-degree high helix angle. A TM coating provides thermal and wear resistance during extended cutting cycles. Micrograin carbide construction contributes to edge retention in difficult materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium.
This end mill is intended for finishing passes in CNC machining centers and milling machines. It is used across job shop, aerospace, medical, and general precision manufacturing environments where close tolerances and consistent surface finishes are required. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium, with secondary capability in hard materials. The straight-cylindrical shank is compatible with standard end mill toolholders. Variable index flute spacing helps reduce harmonic chatter during high-speed finishing cuts.
Designed for use with standard end mill toolholders. Compatible with CNC milling machines and machining centers running steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Shank diameter is 3/8 inches with an h6 tolerance for precise toolholder fit.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is secured in a clean, properly sized end mill toolholder before tightening. Confirm runout is within acceptable limits after tool installation to protect the corner radius and cutting edges. Review workpiece material and speed-feed parameters before beginning the first cutting pass, as carbide tooling is sensitive to interrupted cuts and incorrect chip loads.
