The SGS 66675 is a taper length drill bit engineered for high-performance drilling in demanding trade and industrial applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with Ti-NAMITE-X (TX), it delivers extended tool life and heat resistance compared to standard HSS bits. The 135-degree split point initiates cutting immediately, reducing walking and thrust. At 9.9 mm diameter with a spiral flute and web-thinned tip, it is designed to produce clean, accurate holes. Licensed HVAC fabricators, pipefitters, machinists, and metalworking tradespeople who require tight-tolerance drilling in hard or abrasive materials will find this bit suited to production environments.
The SGS 66675 Series 142P is built for universal material application, meaning it performs across steel, stainless, cast iron, and similar ferrous and non-ferrous metals. With a flute-to-diameter ratio of 8xD and an overall length of approximately 4-31/64 inches (141.99 mm), it reaches deeper than jobber-length bits, making it well-suited for through-holes in thick plate, structural members, or deep-wall fittings. The cylindrical straight shank seats in standard drill chucks or CNC tool holders without adapters. Coolant-through capability supports high-feed-rate machining where internal coolant delivery is available.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or production-use taper length drill bit for use in standard drill chucks and CNC machining centers accepting a straight cylindrical shank in the 9.9 mm diameter range.
Installation and use of this bit should be performed by qualified machinists or tradespeople familiar with rotary cutting tool safety. Ensure the drill chuck or tool holder is fully engaged and tightened before operation. Disengage power and allow the spindle to come to a complete stop before inspecting, removing, or replacing the bit. Always operate within the recommended speeds and feeds for the work material to avoid tool breakage or workpiece damage.
