The SGS 66525 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. The 1/4 inch (0.2047 decimal inch) diameter bit features a 135-degree split-point geometry with web thinning to reduce thrust and improve centering on entry. The Ti-NAMITE-X coating provides enhanced wear resistance and heat dissipation, extending tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous applications. With an overall length of 3.2283 inches (82.00 mm) and a 2-flute spiral configuration, this bit is suited for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and hand-held power tools where precision and repeatability matter. The SGS 66525 Series 142P is built for production drilling environments where consistency and dimensional accuracy are required. The straight-cylindrical shank (0.3100 inch diameter) seats securely in standard drill chucks and collet holders. With a flute-to-diameter ratio of 5xD, this bit handles moderate-depth drilling up to 1.3780 inches (35.00 mm). The DIN 6537 specification ensures dimensional conformance for shops working to metric or imperial standards. Typical applications include drilling in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar materials where a high-performance carbide tool is specified.
