The SGS 57010 is a combination drill and countersink designed to drill a pilot hole and cut a countersink in a single operation. Built from solid carbide with a bright, uncoated finish, this tool delivers the hardness and wear resistance needed for production and precision work. It features a No. 4 trade size, a 5/16-inch body diameter, a 1/8-inch drill point diameter, and a 60-degree included angle. The double-end design extends tool life by providing two usable cutting ends. Cutting direction is right hand. Licensed machinists, toolmakers, and maintenance trades install and operate this tool on drill presses, mills, and CNC equipment.
The SGS 57010 is suited for countersinking flat-head fastener seats in metal fabrication, machine shops, and industrial maintenance applications. The 60-degree included angle matches the geometry required for standard flat-head screws and machine fasteners. With a 2-1/8-inch overall length and a plain cutting edge style, this tool fits standard collets and chucks used in benchtop and production drilling setups. It is appropriate for use in ferrous and non-ferrous metals where a clean, accurate countersink is required in the same pass as the pilot hole.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct substitute for No. 4 trade size combo drill countersinks in Series 301 applications requiring a 5/16-inch body diameter and 60-degree included angle.
This tool is installed and operated by machinists or skilled maintenance trades. Secure the workpiece firmly before operation and confirm the collet or chuck is properly tightened to the correct shank diameter before running the spindle. Power down the machine and lock out the spindle before changing or inspecting the tool. Do not exceed the recommended feed and speed parameters for the workpiece material and tool diameter.
