The SGS 53002 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for precision hole-making in demanding metalworking applications. Built to Series 103 specifications and conforming to DIN 6539, it features a 150-degree split point, three-flute regular spiral geometry, and a bright uncoated finish. The bit measures 0.2210 inches in diameter (Wire Size 2, 5.61 mm) with a 3.0-inch overall length and a 1.75-inch flute length. Micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and wear resistance needed when drilling cast iron, hardened steel, carbon steel, and non-ferrous metals. A web-thinned, tapered web design reduces thrust force at entry and improves chip evacuation on deep holes.
This drill bit is suited for production machining and maintenance environments where accuracy and tool life are critical. The straight cylindrical shank seats directly in standard drill chucks and collet holders without modification.
