The SGS 51125 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for precision hole-making in steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials. It carries a 25/64 inch (0.3906 inch) diameter with a 118-degree facet point and a web-thinned, tapered web configuration that reduces entry force and improves chip evacuation. The two-flute regular spiral design supports right-hand cutting with consistent chip flow. Built to DIN 338 standards from micrograin carbide, this bit is suited for production drilling environments where tight tolerance and tool life are priorities. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die shops, and general metalworking operations are the primary users of this series.
The SGS 51125 Series 101 jobber drill is intended for general-purpose drilling in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Its 4.5-inch overall length and 2.875-inch flute length make it appropriate for standard-depth applications in manual drill presses, CNC machining centers, and similar machine tool setups. The bright, uncoated finish keeps it suitable for use with cutting fluids on a range of workpiece materials including steel, cast iron, and aluminum. It does not support coolant-through delivery.
Designed as a general-purpose OEM-style jobber drill for use in standard drill press, lathe, or CNC machine tool setups that accept a straight cylindrical shank at 0.3906 inch diameter. Primary workpiece materials include steel, cast iron, aluminum, and non-ferrous alloys.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with metalworking drill bit setup. Secure the straight shank fully in a matching drill chuck or collet before operation and verify runout before engaging the workpiece. Always power down and lock out the machine before changing tooling. Cutting fluid or coolant applied externally is recommended when drilling ferrous materials to extend tool life; this bit does not support internal coolant-through delivery.
