The SGS 51113 is a solid carbide jobber length drill bit designed for precision drilling in hard and abrasive materials. Built from micrograin carbide with a bright uncoated finish, it delivers tight diameter tolerances and consistent performance across metalworking and fabrication applications. The 118-degree faceted point geometry provides accurate starting without walking, and the web-thinned, tapered web configuration reduces thrust during entry. With a 13/64 inch (0.2031 inch) diameter and a 3 inch overall length, this bit fits standard drill chucks and CNC setups. It is intended for use by machinists, tool-and-die professionals, and production drilling technicians working with ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
The SGS 51113 is suited for jobber-length drilling applications in machine shops, fabrication facilities, and production environments. Its regular spiral flute pattern with a 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio promotes efficient chip evacuation in through-hole and blind-hole drilling. The straight-cylindrical shank seats securely in standard keyless or keyed drill chucks. This bit conforms to DIN 338 standards and falls within the 0.2000 to 0.2500 inch drill bit size range, making it a direct fit for operations calling for a 13/64 inch bore.
Designed as a DIN 338-compliant jobber length drill bit suitable for use in standard drill chucks, collet holders, and CNC spindles accepting a 0.2031 inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation and use of carbide drill bits should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with speeds, feeds, and machine setup for carbide tooling. Ensure the machine spindle and chuck are fully secured and the workpiece is properly fixtured before beginning drilling operations. Carbide tooling is brittle and can fracture if subjected to side loads or improper feed rates, so avoid hand-held drilling applications. Inspect the cutting edges before each use and remove the bit from service if chipping or wear is detected.
