The SGS 45186 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for finishing operations in demanding machining environments. It features a 20 mm cutting diameter, a 38 mm length of cut, and a 5.00 mm (0.1969 inch) corner radius that helps reduce stress concentrations and improve surface finish at part corners. With 6 helical flutes and a high helix angle of 41 degrees, the tool promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. A TiN coating increases surface hardness and wear resistance. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 20 mm in diameter and is designed for use with standard end mill holders. Overall length is 104 mm.

This end mill is suited for finishing cuts on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium, as well as secondary use on hard materials. Installation Notes

Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine powered off and all motion fully stopped. Seat the straight-cylindrical shank fully in a clean, properly sized end mill holder and torque the retention mechanism per the holder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout after clamping before initiating a cut. This tool is not center-cutting and should not be used for plunge entry.
