The SGS 44869 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. Part of the SGS Series 43MR, it features a 14 mm mill diameter, a 30 mm length of cut, and a 2.00 mm (0.0787 inch) corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life. The 3-flute, single-end geometry with a high helix angle and coarse pitch promotes efficient chip evacuation during roughing operations. A TiB2 (Ti-NAMITE-B) coating further improves performance on non-ferrous materials such as aluminum and copper alloys. This end mill is used by CNC machinists and tool-and-die professionals in production and job-shop environments.
The SGS 44869 is built for roughing operations on non-ferrous metals where chip load and surface finish must be balanced. The 14 mm straight-cylindrical shank is sized for standard end mill holders and collet chucks. With an overall length of 89 mm and a standard length type, this tool fits a wide range of vertical and horizontal machining center setups. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation are consistent with conventional CNC milling spindle configurations.
Designed for use with standard end mill holders and straight-bore collet chucks. Intended for machining non-ferrous metals. Not designed for center-cutting or coolant-through applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom professional. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or locked-out state before mounting or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully in the holder to the recommended minimum engagement depth per the holder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout at the cutting edge before beginning the first pass, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear and can compromise corner radius geometry.
