Product Description

The SGS 43445 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for aggressive material removal in demanding machining applications. Built on the Series 33MC platform, it features a 0.1181 inch (3.00 mm) mill diameter, a 0.0118 inch (0.30 mm) corner radius, and three flutes with variable helix and variable index geometry. The AlTiN coating, marketed under SGS proprietary designation Ti-NAMITE-A, provides thermal resistance and extended tool life at elevated cutting speeds. The straight cylindrical shank measures 6.00 mm in diameter and the overall length is 57.00 mm, making this a compact, standard-length tool suited for roughing passes on hard and difficult-to-machine materials.

This end mill is intended for roughing operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium, as well as secondary applications in hard materials. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute direction are standard for conventional CNC machining centers using end mill toolholders. The coarse pitch and variable index geometry help reduce chatter and harmonic vibration during heavy stock removal. It is a single-end tool with no coolant-through capability, positioned for use where external or flood coolant is the norm.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Secure the shank fully within the toolholder to the recommended gauge line before tightening to avoid runout. Verify toolholder and spindle are clean and free of chips before seating the tool. Do not use this tool for plunge milling, as it is not a centercutting design.
