The SGS 40157 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision material removal in milling applications. It features a 0.3937-inch (10 mm) cutting diameter with a matching 0.3937-inch straight-cylindrical shank and a 0.8661-inch length of cut. Four spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The micrograin carbide construction provides rigidity and edge retention in demanding cutting conditions. This is a single-end, center-cutting tool ground to a bright uncoated finish. A variable index geometry reduces chatter and improves surface finish. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary users of this tool.
