The SGS 39575 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding industrial and manufacturing environments. Featuring a 1-inch cutting diameter, a 1-1/2-inch length of cut, and a 4-inch overall length, this tool handles a wide range of milling operations including slotting, profiling, and contouring. The micrograin solid carbide construction delivers hardness and wear resistance well beyond high-speed steel alternatives. A TiCN (titanium carbonitride) coating reduces friction and extends tool life in abrasive materials. With a 30-degree helix angle and spiral flute geometry, chip evacuation is efficient and cutting forces remain manageable across varying feed rates. This end mill is installed and used by machinists and tooling professionals in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
The 39575 is suited for milling cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, steel alloys, heat-resistant superalloys, and non-metallic materials, corresponding to workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. The centercutting design allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece. Its straight-cylindrical shank and right-hand cut with right-hand flute configuration make it compatible with standard ER and side-lock toolholders in vertical and horizontal machining setups. Regular-length classification and a 1-inch shank diameter suit it to rigid setups with minimal overhang.
Designed for use with standard 1-inch straight-cylindrical toolholders in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines. Compatible with workpiece material categories H, K, M, N, P, and S as defined by the SGS Series 3 product classification.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, powered-down state before changing tooling. Verify the shank is fully seated in the toolholder and that the retention mechanism is torqued per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Confirm runout with a dial indicator after mounting to maintain dimensional accuracy and prevent premature tool wear.
