The SGS 39507 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and industrial machining environments. Built from micrograin carbide stock, it carries a TiCN (titanium carbonitride) finish that improves wear resistance and reduces heat buildup at the cutting edge. The tool measures 0.0625 inches in cutting diameter with a 0.1875-inch length of cut, a 0.125-inch straight cylindrical shank, and a 1.5-inch overall length. With two right-hand spiral flutes at a 30-degree helix angle and a centercutting geometry, it handles both plunging and profiling cuts. Machinists and CNC operators use this end mill for detailed slot milling, contouring, and finishing passes on small-scale or tight-tolerance features.
The SGS 39507 is suited for milling a broad range of materials including cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, carbon steel, high-temperature alloys, and certain superalloys, as indicated by its primary workpiece material codes. Its compact 1/16-inch diameter makes it the right choice for fine detail work, micro-slot cutting, and applications where tool clearance is limited. This is a regular-length tool with no extended reach, making it best used in standard spindle setups on CNC machining centers and manual mills handling small-feature work.
Designed for use in standard straight-shank collet chucks and end mill holders accepting a 0.125-inch shank diameter. Compatible with CNC machining centers and manual mills configured for right-hand rotation. Primary workpiece material codes from the manufacturer indicate suitability for cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, carbon and alloy steels, high-temperature alloys, and superalloys (material codes H, K, M, N, P, S).
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or tool holder to the recommended gauge line and torque the holder to the tooling manufacturer specifications for the holder type in use. Verify runout at the cutting diameter before beginning a production run, as micrograin carbide tools at this diameter are sensitive to excessive runout and improper clamping.
