The SGS 39343 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations across a wide range of workpiece materials. It features a 0.3438-inch cutting diameter, a 1-inch length of cut, and a 2.5-inch overall length with a 0.375-inch straight cylindrical shank. The two-flute, right-hand spiral design incorporates a 30-degree helix angle and a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, which increases surface hardness and reduces friction during cutting. Manufactured from micrograin solid carbide, this end mill delivers the rigidity and wear resistance required for consistent results in production and job-shop environments. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry into workpiece material.
The SGS 39343 suits a broad range of materials, reflected by its primary workpiece material codes: H, K, M, N, P, and S — covering hardened materials, cast iron, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, steel, and superalloys. This makes it a practical choice for general-purpose milling, slotting, and profiling in both CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. It is well suited for tool-and-die, aerospace component, and general metalworking applications where a reliable, regular-length end mill is needed.
Compatible with workpiece material categories H, K, M, N, P, and S as designated by the supplier, covering a broad range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous alloys, and superalloys. Designed for use in standard 3/8-inch collets or end mill holders on CNC machining centers and compatible milling machines.
Installation and use of this end mill should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle and tool holder are clean and free of debris before seating the shank to maintain runout tolerances. Secure the shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder torqued per the tool holder manufacturer's specifications. Do not exceed the tool's rated cutting parameters for the target workpiece material, and always wear appropriate personal protective equipment during operation.
