The SGS 39331 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision material removal in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 0.25-inch mill diameter, a 0.75-inch length of cut, and a 2.5-inch overall length. The single-end design includes two right-hand spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle and a TiN (titanium nitride) coating that extends tool life and reduces friction during cutting. Micrograin carbide construction provides rigidity and wear resistance suited to demanding cutting operations. This end mill is intended for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals operating CNC or manual milling equipment.
The SGS 39331 is rated for use across a broad range of workpiece materials, including cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, carbon steel, heat-resistant alloys, and similar materials corresponding to material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. The regular-length, straight-cylindrical shank fits standard collet and end mill holders with a 0.25-inch bore. It is appropriate for both production floor environments and precision job shop work where consistent dimensional accuracy is required.
Compatible with workpiece materials classified under codes H, K, M, N, P, and S, which include cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, carbon and alloy steels, heat-resistant superalloys, and similar materials. Fits standard 0.25-inch collet and end mill holder systems.
This end mill is installed and operated by qualified machinists on CNC or manual milling machines. Before changing or setting tooling, ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or placed in a safe state per shop lockout/tagout procedures. Verify collet bore, runout, and holder cleanliness before seating the shank. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material being cut.
