The SGS 39305 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 3/64 inch (0.0469 inch) mill diameter and a 7/64 inch (0.1094 inch) length of cut, making it well-suited for tight-tolerance work in small-diameter slots, pockets, and profiling cuts. The tool is coated with TiN (titanium nitride) to extend cutting life and reduce friction at the cutting edge. With two flutes and a 30-degree right-hand spiral helix, it provides efficient chip evacuation during cuts. The micrograin carbide substrate supports rigidity and wear resistance in demanding machining environments. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is built for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines where small-diameter, high-precision cuts are required. The 1/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank fits standard collets and tool holders commonly found in production and job-shop environments. The workpiece material compatibility codes for this tool include cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, steel, and heat-resistant superalloys, making it a versatile choice across a range of material types. It is a single-end, regular-length tool in the SGS Series 3 lineup.
Compatible with standard 1/8 inch collets and tool holders used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines. Suitable for workpiece materials coded H, K, M, N, P, and S, covering cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, steel, and heat-resistant superalloys.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Verify collet and tool holder cleanliness and proper seating torque per the machine manufacturer specification before running. Confirm correct spindle direction and feed-rate settings before engaging the cut.
