The SGS 39127 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in a wide range of materials. It features a 7/32 inch (0.2188 inch) cutting diameter, a 5/8 inch length of cut, and a 1/4 inch straight cylindrical shank, with an overall length of 2-1/2 inches. The four-flute, right-hand spiral configuration with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. A TiN finish enhances surface hardness and wear resistance. The micrograin carbide substrate supports rigorous cutting conditions across ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. This tool is installed and used by machinists and CNC operators in production and job shop environments.
The SGS 39127 is suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations on materials classified under codes H, K, M, N, P, and S, which include cast iron, non-ferrous metals, steel, and specialty alloys. Its centercutting geometry allows direct plunge entry into the workpiece. The regular-length profile and variable index flute spacing make it a practical choice for general-purpose milling on vertical machining centers and manual knee mills where a 1/4 inch shank collet or toolholder is available.
Compatible with workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S as designated in the supplier specifications. Designed for use in standard 1/4 inch collets or straight-shank toolholders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator using a 1/4 inch collet, end mill holder, or equivalent straight-shank toolholder. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Verify collet runout and draw-bar torque per machine manufacturer specifications before initiating a cut. Do not exceed the rated depth of cut for the length of cut or deflection and tool breakage may result.
