The SGS 39105 is a 4-flute solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metal-cutting applications. Built from micrograin carbide stock with a titanium nitride (TiN) finish, it delivers controlled cutting performance in a compact geometry. The mill diameter is 0.0469 inches (3/64 inch), the shank diameter is 0.125 inches (1/8 inch), and the overall length is 1.5 inches. With a 30-degree helix angle, variable index fluting, and right-hand cut with right-hand spiral flutes, this tool is engineered for tight-tolerance work in small-feature machining. It is a centercutting design, allowing plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole.
This end mill suits CNC machining centers and manual mills where small-diameter tooling is required for slotting, profiling, and pocketing. The 7/64-inch (0.1094-inch) length of cut and regular-length body make it well suited to shallow-depth passes in ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. Primary workpiece material codes listed include H, K, M, N, P, and S, covering a range of steels, cast irons, stainless alloys, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and superalloys. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC setup technicians working in precision job shops or manufacturing environments will find this a practical choice for fine-detail work.
Compatible with workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S as specified by SGS Series 1 tooling classifications. Fits any spindle or collet chuck accepting a 1/8-inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine fully powered down and the spindle at a complete stop. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder rated for 1/8-inch shank tooling to ensure runout is within acceptable limits for small-diameter mills. Verify tool projection and depth of cut before initiating a cutting cycle, as small-diameter carbide tooling is sensitive to deflection and side-load. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling manufacturer recommended speeds and feeds for the specific workpiece material being cut.
