The SGS 39103 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-precision milling in demanding machining environments. With a 1/32 inch (0.0313 inch) cutting diameter and four flutes, this end mill delivers fine detail cutting capability in a compact geometry. The micrograin carbide substrate paired with a TiN (titanium nitride) finish supports extended tool life and wear resistance. The spiral flute design with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation during cutting operations. This tool is sized for use on CNC machining centers and manual mills where tight tolerances and small-feature work are required.
The SGS 39103 is suited for milling operations on a broad range of workpiece materials, including hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, aluminum, non-ferrous alloys, and high-temperature alloys, consistent with its primary workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. The 5/64 inch length of cut and 1/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank make it well suited for slots, pockets, and contours in small-scale or micro-machining applications. Machinists and toolroom operators working with close-tolerance components are the primary users of this tool.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for 1/8 inch straight shank collets and tool holders used in CNC machining centers, manual knee mills, and high-speed spindle units requiring 1/32 inch diameter end mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Always secure the shank fully within the collet or tool holder to the recommended engagement depth before clamping. Confirm spindle is fully stopped and machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Verify collet bore tolerance is compatible with the 1/8 inch shank diameter to prevent runout and premature tool failure.
