The SGS 39011 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision material removal in metalworking and machining applications. The 39011 measures 0.0938 inches (3/32 inches) in cutting diameter with a 9/32-inch (0.2813-inch) length of cut, a 1/8-inch straight-cylindrical shank, and a 1-1/2-inch overall length. It features four flutes with a 30-degree helix angle, right-hand cutting and flute direction, and a TiCN coating for improved wear resistance and tool life. Micrograin carbide construction provides hardness and rigidity suited to high-speed machining of a wide range of workpiece materials. This end mill is a single-end, center-cutting tool appropriate for milling, slotting, and profiling operations.
The SGS 39011 is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills where small-diameter, high-precision cutting is required. Its variable index geometry helps reduce chatter and improve surface finish. The TiCN coating and micrograin carbide substrate make it effective across multiple material categories including cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, steel alloys, and high-temperature alloys, consistent with workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. Typical users include machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in job shops, production environments, and aerospace or general manufacturing settings.
Designed for use with workpiece material categories H, K, M, N, P, and S as designated in the supplier specification, covering cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, carbon and alloy steels, and high-temperature alloys. Fits standard 1/8-inch collets and end mill holders.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's toolholding guidelines. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or placed in a safe state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the collet or holder and torque the retaining nut according to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, especially given the close mill diameter tolerance of plus 0.000 / minus 0.002 inches.
