The SGS 37023 is a solid carbide roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling applications. It features a 3/8 inch diameter, 5 variable-pitch flutes, and a 0.03 inch corner radius that reduces chipping and extends tool life on entry and exit cuts. The TiN (titanium nitride) coating increases surface hardness and heat resistance. Coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation in deep-slot and high-feed operations. This single-end tool cuts in the right-hand direction with a right-hand spiral flute geometry and a 37-degree maximum helix angle. It is installed by machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, manufacturing facilities, and tool rooms.

This end mill is suited for roughing passes on ferrous and non-ferrous metals where cycle time reduction and chip clearance are priorities. The variable pitch flute spacing helps dampen harmonics and reduce chatter at higher feed rates. With a 3/4 inch length of cut and 2.5 inch overall length, it fits standard toolholders for light to medium CNC machining centers and manual mills.
