The SGS 36876 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding industrial applications. With a 3/64 inch (0.0469 inch) mill diameter and a 0.005 inch corner radius, this single-end tool produces controlled edge geometry while minimizing stress concentrations at corners. The 4-flute, variable helix, variable index configuration with a 38-degree helix reduces chatter and supports both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup. A TiN coating adds surface hardness and lubricity, extending tool life in abrasive workpiece materials. The 1/8 inch length of cut and 1-1/2 inch overall length make it suited to shallow-depth, tight-tolerance work.

This end mill is built for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium, as well as secondary hard materials. It is used in CNC machining centers where precise corner geometry and surface finish are critical. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation are standard for conventional vertical and horizontal milling setups. Installation Notes

Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC tooling technician. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and locked out before tool changes. Seat the shank fully into the holder and torque the set screw or collet nut to the holder manufacturer specification. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, as corner radius end mills are sensitive to runout at small diameters.
