The SGS 36622 is a 7-flute solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding material categories. Built to Series 66 specifications, it carries an AlTiN finish that extends tool life under elevated cutting temperatures. The 3/8 inch cutting diameter pairs with a 1 inch length of cut and a 3 inch overall length, making it a compact, rigid tool suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes. The micrograin carbide substrate supports edge retention in harder workpiece materials. Right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute geometry, combined with a 35-degree helix angle, promote chip evacuation and reduce deflection. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole.

The SGS 36622 is applied in CNC milling operations across a range of workpiece materials, including hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, carbon steels, and superalloys, corresponding to ISO material codes H, K, M, P, and S.
