The SGS 36370 is a single-end corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. Built from micrograin solid carbide and finished with a TiN coating, this tool delivers wear resistance and edge retention across roughing and finishing operations. It features a 1/8 inch mill diameter, a 0.01 inch corner radius, and a 4-flute variable helix geometry that reduces harmonic vibration and improves chip evacuation. The straight cylindrical shank measures 1/8 inch in diameter, making it compatible with standard end mill holders used in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is suited for use in machine shops, tool rooms, and production environments where close-tolerance profiling and contouring are required. The variable helix and variable index design make it particularly effective on harder workpiece materials where chatter control is critical. It is a single-end, right-hand cutting tool with a right-hand flute direction. The Series ZPCR geometry is configured for both roughing and finishing passes, reducing the need to change tools between operations. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers working with ferrous and exotic alloys will find this tool appropriate for tight-tolerance work.
Designed for use with standard end mill holders. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. Secondary workpiece material category is hard material.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists following standard toolholding procedures. Before installing or removing the end mill, ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in a safe state. Secure the shank in an end mill holder to the appropriate torque specification for the holder manufacturer. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as micrograin carbide tools are sensitive to excessive runout and may chip at the corner radius under misaligned conditions.
