The SGS 35708 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 0.5 inch diameter, a 2 inch length of cut, and a 0.03 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life. The single-end design runs right-hand cutting with a right-hand helical flute, a coarse pitch, and a high helix angle of 38 degrees. A Ti-NAMITE-B TiB2 coating reduces friction and built-up edge in aluminum and other non-ferrous materials. This tool is used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals on CNC machining centers and manual mills.

The SGS 35708 Series 43CR long-length end mill is suited for slotting, peripheral milling, and roughing operations in non-ferrous metals including aluminum, brass, and copper alloys. Installation Notes

Seat the 0.5 inch straight-cylindrical shank fully into a clean, undamaged end mill holder and torque the retention screw to the holder manufacturer specification. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before initiating a cut, as excessive runout accelerates corner radius wear. Follow the tool manufacturer recommended speeds and feeds for the specific workpiece alloy and do not exceed the rated depth of cut for roughing passes.
