The SGS 35672 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling of non-ferrous metals. It carries a 1/4 inch diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 0.0150 inch corner radius, making it suited for applications that require a controlled edge break or blended radius on finished surfaces. The three-flute geometry combined with a 38-degree high helix promotes efficient chip evacuation in aluminum, brass, copper, and similar soft materials. A TiB2 (Ti-NAMITE-B) coating reduces built-up edge and extends tool life in non-ferrous applications. This tool is installed and used by machinists and CNC operators running production or job-shop work.
This end mill belongs to the SGS Series 43CR and is configured as a single-end, long-length tool with an overall length of 3 inches and a 1/4 inch straight cylindrical shank. It is primarily intended for roughing passes in non-ferrous metal workpieces, though the corner radius geometry also supports semi-finish passes where a small radius is specified at the base of a shoulder or pocket. It is compatible with standard end mill toolholders. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction make it suitable for conventional CNC machining centers and manual mills running standard spindle rotation.

This tool is installed by machinists and CNC operators into a compatible end mill toolholder; confirm shank diameter and toolholder bore are matched before clamping. Inspect the toolholder and collet for runout before use, as excessive TIR will accelerate wear on a three-flute carbide tool. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing or measuring the tool. Follow the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for clamping torque and stick-out length.
