The SGS 35635 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 3/4 inch mill diameter, a 2-1/4 inch length of cut, and a 0.03 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life on finishing and semi-finishing passes. The 3-flute, right-hand helical geometry with a coarse pitch promotes efficient chip evacuation. With a 5 inch overall length and straight-cylindrical shank, this is a single-end, high-helix tool built for use in standard end mill holders. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC operators working on milling machines and machining centers.
This end mill is suited for roughing operations in non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, brass, copper, and similar materials. The uncoated bright finish is appropriate for these softer, gummy materials where certain coatings can cause built-up edge. The Series 43CR design with a 38-degree helix promotes aggressive chip lifting and reduces heat at the cutting zone. It fits standard end mill holders accepting a 3/4 inch shank and is intended for single-end use on vertical or horizontal machining centers in production or job-shop environments.
Designed for use with standard end mill holders accepting a 3/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal (material code N). Fits milling machines and CNC machining centers configured for 3/4 inch tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator following standard tooling and machine lockout procedures before any tool change. Ensure the end mill holder bore and collet are clean and within tolerance before seating the shank. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and depth of cut. Confirm runout with a dial indicator after clamping to minimize vibration and premature tool wear.
