The SGS 35634 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 3/4 inch cutting diameter, a 1-5/8 inch length of cut, and a 1/4 inch (0.2500 inch) corner radius that reduces edge chipping and stress concentration at workpiece corners. The 3-flute, right-hand helical geometry with a coarse pitch is optimized for roughing operations. At 4 inches overall length with a straight cylindrical 3/4 inch shank, this single-end tool is suited for use in standard end mill holders. Intended for installation and operation by machinists and CNC tooling professionals in production or job-shop environments.
The SGS 35634 is engineered for use on non-ferrous metals including aluminum, brass, copper, and similar materials where high-helix geometry and uncoated carbide provide efficient chip evacuation and surface finish. The Series 43CR designation places it within SGS's corner radius roughing line. It is a single-end, centercutting-capable profile with right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction. Typical applications include profiling, slotting, and peripheral milling in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills where a radius corner is required to strengthen the cutting edge and improve part geometry at floor-to-wall transitions.
Designed for use with standard end mill holders accepting a 3/4 inch straight cylindrical shank. Optimized for non-ferrous metal workpieces as indicated by Primary Workpiece Material Code N. Part of the SGS Series 43CR corner radius end mill line.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or removing the tool from the holder. Verify shank seating depth and holder runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut or feed rate for the specific workpiece material and machine setup.
