The SGS 35614 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 0.5-inch diameter with a 0.09-inch corner radius, providing a blend of edge strength and surface finish quality in a single-end, right-hand cutting configuration. The 3-flute, high-helix helical geometry supports efficient chip evacuation at the coarse pitch suitable for roughing operations. With a 1.625-inch length of cut and a 4-inch overall length, this is a long-reach tool suited to deeper pocketing and profiling passes. A licensed HVAC technician or machinist installs and operates this tool in compatible end mill holders.
The SGS 35614 is intended for use on non-ferrous metals including aluminum, brass, copper, and similar materials where uncoated solid carbide performs effectively. Its long flute length and 38-degree high-helix design make it well suited to slotting, profiling, and roughing passes in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard end mill holders with a 0.5-inch bore. This tool is appropriate for production and maintenance machining environments where consistent corner geometry is required across repeated cuts.
Designed for use with standard end mill holders accepting a 0.5-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Intended for non-ferrous metal workpiece materials as designated by primary workpiece material code N. Part of the SGS Series 43CR product line.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Verify holder bore and collet size match the 0.5-inch shank diameter before tightening. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended feeds and speeds for the workpiece material and depth of cut being used.
