The SGS 35583 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. With a 1/4 inch cutting diameter, a 1.25 inch length of cut, and a 0.03 inch corner radius, this tool produces smooth, radiused corners while maintaining dimensional accuracy. The 3-flute, right-hand helical geometry with a high helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces heat buildup during cuts. At 3 inches overall length with a straight cylindrical 1/4 inch shank, it fits standard end mill holders used on vertical and horizontal milling machines. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working with aluminum, brass, copper, and similar non-ferrous workpieces will find this a reliable roughing-capable single-end tool.
The SGS 35583 is intended for use on non-ferrous metals in coarse-pitch roughing and finishing operations. Its Series 43CR designation places it within SGS's long-reach corner radius line, suited for applications requiring access to deeper cavities without sacrificing rigidity. The uncoated, bright finish is appropriate for non-ferrous cuts where coating adhesion or chemical reactivity with the workpiece material is a concern. This tool mounts in standard end mill holders and is compatible with CNC machining centers and manual milling setups.
Designed for use with standard end mill holders in CNC machining centers and manual mills. Intended for non-ferrous metal workpieces per Series 43CR application guidelines. Shank diameter tolerance is h6 for precise holder fit.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety protocols. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the end mill holder and torque the set screw or collet nut according to the holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before initiating a cut, as excessive runout will accelerate corner radius wear and reduce dimensional accuracy.
