The SGS 35305 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composite, and hard material applications. It features a 7/32 inch (0.2188 inch) cutting diameter, a 5/8 inch length of cut, and a 1/4 inch shank diameter, with a 2-1/2 inch overall length. The TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating increases surface hardness and wear resistance, extending tool life in abrasive cutting conditions. The two-flute geometry and 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. This is a centercutting end mill, meaning it can plunge directly into the workpiece material.
The SGS 35305 is suited for general-purpose and finish milling work in machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills. Its solid carbide construction makes it appropriate for cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar materials where high rigidity and edge retention are required. The Series 52 designation indicates a standard reach, short-length configuration commonly used in production and tool-and-die environments. It is used by machinists and CNC operators across job shops, aerospace, and manufacturing facilities.
Designed as a standard-shank solid carbide square end mill compatible with any 1/4 inch collet, end mill holder, or tool chuck on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting 1/4 inch shank tooling.
Installation and use of this end mill should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator familiar with proper toolholding and feeds-and-speeds selection. Always ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder rated for the 1/4 inch shank diameter to prevent runout and tool pull-out. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use.
