The SGS 35282 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling of non-ferrous metals and similar materials. With a 9/32 inch (0.2813 inch) cutting diameter and a 3/4 inch length of cut, it delivers clean, square-shoulder cuts in a compact form factor. The two-flute, right-hand spiral configuration with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Built from micrograin carbide, this single-end mill handles demanding material removal while maintaining dimensional accuracy. It is center-cutting, allowing plunge entry directly into workpiece material without pre-drilling.
The SGS 35282 is suited for milling operations on non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, brass, copper, and similar materials. Its regular-length geometry and 5/16 inch straight-cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard collet chucks and end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual mills alike. The bright, uncoated finish is appropriate for non-ferrous applications where coating is unnecessary and can interfere with chip flow or surface finish. This tool is commonly used in job shops, production facilities, and maintenance machining environments.

Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with rotating cutting tool safety. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the end mill from the tool holder. Verify collet or holder bore size matches the 5/16 inch shank diameter and that runout is within acceptable tolerance before cutting. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling guidelines for appropriate feed rates and speeds when cutting non-ferrous materials.
