The SGS 35136 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance finishing operations in demanding metal-cutting applications. It features a 3/4 inch diameter, a 0.03 inch corner radius, and six flutes arranged in a right-hand spiral with a close pitch and variable index for improved surface finish and reduced chatter. The 1 inch length of cut and 6 inch overall length make it well suited for reaching into pockets and slots. A TX coating enhances wear resistance and tool life when cutting ferrous and hard materials. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers working in production and job-shop environments are the primary users of this tool.
The SGS 35136 is built for finishing cuts in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium, as well as secondary work in hard materials. The extended reach design, with a 3.375 inch reach length and a reduced neck diameter of 0.712 inches, allows access to deep features while maintaining rigidity. It is intended for use with standard end mill toolholders in CNC machining centers running right-hand cutting operations. The short flute length classification keeps the tool stiff for tight-tolerance finishing passes.
Designed for use with standard end mill toolholders. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. Secondary application covers hard materials. Part of the SGS Series 51CR T-Carb line.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician using a compatible end mill toolholder sized for a 3/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank with h6 shank diameter tolerance. Confirm toolholder runout is within acceptable limits before engaging the cut, as excess runout on a six-flute tool amplifies edge loading. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut or axial engagement for finish-milling operations without verifying machine rigidity and workholding.
