The SGS 35130 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance finishing operations in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. It features a 1/2-inch mill diameter, a 0.03-inch corner radius, and 6 flutes with a right-hand spiral flute direction and variable index geometry. The TiN coating enhances surface hardness and wear resistance. At 4 inches overall length with a 5/8-inch length of cut and a 2.25-inch reach length, the 35130 is built for extended-reach finishing passes where rigidity and edge integrity are critical. It installs into standard end mill toolholders and suits CNC machining centers and manual mills run by machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
The SGS 35130 is suited for finishing applications on steel and stainless steel workpieces where corner integrity and surface finish are priorities. Its close pitch, high-helix design supports chip evacuation in deep pockets and along contoured surfaces. The extended-reach configuration and reduced neck diameter of 0.475 inches make it effective in cavities and contoured features that standard-length end mills cannot reach. It is appropriate for both production environments and precision job-shop work. Compatible workpiece material codes include P, M, K, S, and H per ISO classification, covering steel, stainless, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials.
Designed for use with standard end mill toolholders accepting a 1/2-inch straight-cylindrical shank with h6 shank diameter tolerance. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials per ISO material codes P, M, K, S, and H. Part of the SGS Series 51CR.
Installation is performed by machinists using a compatible end mill toolholder torqued per toolholder manufacturer specifications. Ensure the shank seating depth meets toolholder minimum engagement requirements before securing. Confirm spindle and axis motion are fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before tool changes. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer-recommended speeds and feeds for the target workpiece material and coating type.
