The SGS 34826 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in non-ferrous metal applications. With a 0.25 inch mill diameter, a 1.75 inch length of cut, and a 4.0 inch overall length, this tool delivers consistent material removal in tight-tolerance environments. The 3-flute geometry with a 38-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. It is a single-end, centercutting design, meaning it can plunge directly into a workpiece. Machinists and toolroom technicians working on CNC mills or manual knee mills will find this tool well-suited to slotting, profiling, and pocketing operations in aluminum, brass, copper, and similar non-ferrous materials.
This end mill is built for use in job shops, production facilities, and toolroom environments where non-ferrous metals are the primary workpiece material. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration make it compatible with standard spindle rotation on most vertical machining centers and manual mills. Its regular-length classification and straight cylindrical shank fit standard collet chucks, ER collet systems, and end mill holders with a 0.25 inch bore. No extended reach is needed for typical cavity and contour work within its length-of-cut range.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide end mill for standard 0.25 inch bore collet chucks, ER collet holders, and end mill holders used on CNC vertical machining centers and manual mills. Primary workpiece material designation is non-ferrous metal (material code N).
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or quill is locked before inserting or removing the end mill. Seat the shank fully into the holder to the recommended engagement depth and torque the collet nut or set screw per the holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before production use to maximize tool life and part accuracy.
