The SGS 34776 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precise milling of non-ferrous metals. It features a 3/8 inch mill diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 0.0100 inch corner radius that produces a controlled blend between the flank and end face, reducing stress concentrations at the corner. The three-flute, right-hand spiral design supports efficient chip evacuation during roughing operations. With a high-helix angle of 38 degrees, this tool promotes smooth cutting action and reduces chatter on light-alloy and non-ferrous workpieces. It ships bright and uncoated, making it suitable for direct use in compatible end mill toolholders.
This end mill is intended for roughing operations in non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, brass, copper, and similar materials. The coarse pitch and high helix angle make it well suited for high-speed machining centers and CNC knee mills where chip load and material removal rate are priorities. Single-end configuration means the tool is replaced rather than flipped when worn. It fits standard end mill toolholders with a straight cylindrical shank. Machinists and tool-room operators working in job shops, production facilities, and maintenance environments will find this tool applicable to a wide range of non-ferrous milling tasks.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct application tool for use with standard end mill toolholders; part of the SGS Series 43CR corner radius end mill family, intended for non-ferrous metal workpiece materials (material code N).
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolholder clamping procedures. Confirm the toolholder bore and collet size match the 3/8 inch shank diameter before installation. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before inserting or removing the end mill. Do not use this tool on ferrous materials, as its geometry and coating classification are optimized for non-ferrous applications only.
