The SGS 34750 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-precision milling of non-ferrous metals. With a 0.750 inch mill diameter, a 3.250 inch length of cut, and a 6.000 inch overall length, this tool handles deep-reach profiling, slotting, and peripheral milling in aluminum, copper, brass, and similar materials. The TiB2 (titanium diboride) coating reduces built-up edge and extends tool life in non-ferrous applications. A 38-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Three spiral flutes with right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry make this a standard-configuration tool that fits most vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers. It is installed and applied by machinists and CNC operators in job shops, production facilities, and toolrooms.
The SGS 34750 is suited for milling operations on non-ferrous workpiece materials including aluminum alloys, copper, and brass. The regular length classification and straight-cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard collet chucks and end mill holders. Its non-centercutting geometry means it is intended for peripheral and slot milling rather than plunge operations. This tool is part of SGS Series 43, engineered specifically for non-ferrous metal cutting where chip packing and workpiece adhesion are common concerns.
Designed as an OEM-specification Series 43 solid carbide square end mill for use in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills equipped with standard 3/4 inch collet or end mill holder tooling. Primary workpiece material code N indicates non-ferrous metal applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Seat the straight-cylindrical shank fully into a clean, undamaged collet or end mill holder and torque the retention nut to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut. Because this tool is non-centercutting, do not program plunge moves along the Z-axis — use ramping or helical interpolation entry instead.
