The SGS 34740 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling of non-ferrous metals. It features a 0.5 inch cutting diameter, a 1.25 inch length of cut, and a 3.25 inch overall length, making it a regular-length tool suited for standard milling operations. The three-flute geometry and 38-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. A titanium diboride (TiB2) finish improves surface hardness and reduces built-up edge on non-ferrous workpiece materials. The SGS 34740 is intended primarily for milling non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, brass, copper, and similar materials.
