The SGS 34513 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision material removal in CNC and manual milling operations. It features a 3/8-inch cutting diameter, a 2-1/2-inch length of cut, and a 4-1/4-inch overall length. The 2-flute geometry with a 45-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation, making it well-suited for non-ferrous metals and similar materials. The centercutting design allows for plunge entry, adding versatility to its milling applications. This tool is manufactured to tight tolerances, with a mill diameter tolerance of +0.00000/-0.00035 inches for consistent, repeatable cuts.
The SGS 34513 is part of the Series 44 line and is intended for use in machine shop environments, production facilities, and maintenance operations where non-ferrous metal milling is common. Its Weldon flat shank provides a secure, slip-resistant seat in standard end mill holders and set-screw style tool holders. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration is compatible with conventional CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. It is installed and used by machinists, tooling specialists, and CNC programmers working with aluminum, brass, copper, and similar non-ferrous workpiece materials.
Designed for use with standard 3/8-inch end mill holders and Weldon flat-style tool holders. Primary workpiece material designation is non-ferrous metal (material code N), including aluminum, brass, and copper alloys.
This end mill is installed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician using a compatible end mill holder torqued per the tool holder manufacturer specifications. Always ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Verify runout with a dial indicator after seating to confirm the tool is properly clamped. Do not exceed the recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and tool diameter.
