The SGS 34126 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for roughing operations in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 1 inch cutting diameter, a 1.75 inch length of cut, and a 1.5 mm (0.090 inch) corner radius. The micrograin carbide substrate is finished with a Ti-NAMITE-B (TiB2) coating, which is optimized for aluminum and other non-ferrous materials. With three helical flutes, a coarse pitch chipbreaker geometry, and a high helix style, this tool is built to remove material aggressively while maintaining edge integrity. A coolant-through design supports chip evacuation during deep passes.
The SGS 34126 belongs to the APR3 series and is configured as a single-end, right-hand cut, right-hand flute end mill with extended reach capability. It is intended for use in CNC machining centers with standard end mill holders. The straight cylindrical shank measures 1 inch in diameter with an h6 tolerance, making it compatible with precision collet and hydraulic chuck systems. It is suited for roughing passes in aluminum, copper, brass, and similar non-ferrous workpiece materials in production and job-shop environments.
Designed for use with standard end mill holders. Intended for roughing operations in non-ferrous metal workpiece materials (material code N), including aluminum and similar alloys.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool path program is verified before mounting. Secure the shank in a clean, properly sized end mill holder using the manufacturer-recommended clamping procedure. Confirm runout within tolerance before beginning the first cut.
