The SGS 34021 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. Built to the APF series standard, it features a 1/2 inch cutting diameter, a 0.06 inch corner radius, and a 2 inch length of cut, making it well suited for both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup. The TiB2 (Ti-NAMITE-B) coating reduces friction and improves tool life in aluminum, copper, brass, and similar materials. The micrograin carbide substrate supports the high helix geometry and extended reach configuration this tool was engineered around. Installation and operation are handled by machinists and CNC operators working with compatible end mill holders.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual milling operations where non-ferrous metals are the primary workpiece material. The extended reach and long length type make it appropriate for deep cavity milling, shoulder milling, and profiling operations where standard-length tools cannot reach the feature. The single-end, right-hand cutting configuration suits the majority of vertical and horizontal machining center setups. Variable index fluting aids in chatter suppression during aggressive cuts, and through-coolant capability supports chip evacuation in deep-pocket operations.
Designed for use with standard end mill holders accepting a 1/2 inch straight-cylindrical shank with h6 shank diameter tolerance. Primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal (Material Code: N).
This tool is installed and operated by qualified machinists or CNC operators. Before mounting, confirm the end mill holder bore and runout specification are within tolerance for the 1/2 inch h6 shank. Verify spindle speed and feed rate parameters are appropriate for the workpiece material and cut depth before initiating a program. Do not exceed the tool's rated depth of cut or reach engagement without confirming rigidity of the setup and workholding.
