The SGS 33341 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in a wide range of metal and non-metal workpiece materials. With a 1/8 inch (0.1250 inch) cutting diameter, a 3/4 inch (0.7500 inch) length of cut, and a 30-degree helix angle, this tool delivers clean, controlled material removal in tight-tolerance applications. The micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and wear resistance required for consistent performance in production environments. At 2-1/4 inches overall length, it falls within the long-series category, making it suitable for applications that require additional reach without sacrificing rigidity.
This end mill is suited for milling operations across a broad spectrum of workpiece materials, including cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, steel, and superalloys, as indicated by material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. The single-end, two-flute geometry provides chip clearance in slotting and profiling cuts. It is commonly used in CNC machining centers and manual mills for die work, prototype machining, and production runs where small-diameter precision tooling is required. Machinists, tool and die makers, and CNC operators are the primary users of this tool type.
Designed as a standard straight-shank square end mill compatible with 1/8 inch collets, ER collet chucks, and precision end mill holders used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines. Suitable for workpiece material categories H, K, M, N, P, and S per the supplier material code classification.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the 1/8 inch straight cylindrical shank fully into the collet or tool holder and torque the retention mechanism according to the tool holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning cuts, as runout on small-diameter end mills can accelerate tool wear and affect surface finish.
