The SGS 33333 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision material removal in demanding machining applications. Featuring a 0.625 inch (5/8 inch) cutting diameter and a 3 inch length of cut, this tool provides extended reach in a single-end configuration. The 2-flute geometry with a 30-degree right-hand spiral helix promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Built from micrograin solid carbide in a bright uncoated finish, the 33333 is suited for use on a broad range of workpiece materials. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this tool in vertical and horizontal machining centers where extra-long reach and rigidity are both required.
This end mill is well suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations where standard-length tools cannot reach the full depth of cut. The extra-long 6 inch overall length and straight cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard ER collets and end mill holders. The Series 3EL designation indicates an extra-long length-of-cut range starting at 2 inches and above, making this tool appropriate for deep-cavity work in mold, die, and aerospace component machining. Compatible workpiece material codes include H, K, M, N, P, and S, covering hardened steels, cast iron, stainless, non-ferrous alloys, steel alloys, and superalloys.
Designed for use with standard straight-cylindrical shank tool holders and ER collet chucks accepting a 0.625 inch shank. Suitable for workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S as defined by the SGS Series 3EL classification.
Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or tool-and-die technicians. The machine spindle must be powered down and locked out before inserting or removing the end mill from the tool holder. Verify collet or chuck bore size matches the 0.625 inch shank diameter and that runout is within acceptable tolerances before beginning a cut. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer recommended speeds and feeds for the specific workpiece material being machined.
