The SGS 33329 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision material removal in demanding machining applications. It features a 7/16 inch (0.4375 inch) mill diameter with a matching 7/16 inch straight-cylindrical shank and a 3 inch length of cut. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and edge retention required for cutting steel, cast iron, stainless, aluminum, and exotic alloys. The extra-long 6 inch overall length makes it suited for deep-reach operations where standard-length tools fall short. This is a centercutting, right-hand cut, right-hand flute tool with a 30-degree helix and spiral flute geometry, intended for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals on CNC mills and manual knee mills.
The SGS 33329 is a Series 3EL extra-long uncoated end mill best applied in operations requiring extended reach into deep pockets, slots, or stepped features. It performs across a broad range of workpiece materials including ferritic and martensitic steels, cast iron, stainless steel, aluminum, copper alloys, and high-temperature superalloys as indicated by material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. Its two-flute geometry provides generous chip clearance, making it particularly effective in softer materials and applications where chip evacuation is a priority.
The SGS 33329 is compatible with workpiece materials designated by primary material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S, covering steels, cast iron, stainless steel, aluminum, copper alloys, and superalloys. It is designed for use in standard straight-shank tool holders accepting a 7/16 inch shank diameter.
Installation and use of this end mill should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with CNC or manual milling operations. Verify that the tool holder collet or chuck is rated for a 7/16 inch shank and is clean and free of runout before mounting. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool. Select feeds, speeds, and depth of cut appropriate for the workpiece material and consult the applicable machining data references for Series 3EL carbide tooling.
