The SGS 33115 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. Built from micrograin carbide, it delivers the hardness and edge retention required for cutting ferrous and non-ferrous materials across a range of workpiece categories. The tool measures 0.75 inches in diameter with a 2.25-inch length of cut, a 0.75-inch straight cylindrical shank, and a 5-inch overall length. With four flutes, a 30-degree helix angle, and a variable index design, it produces efficient chip evacuation and reduced chatter during interrupted cuts. This is a centercutting tool, allowing direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled hole.
The SGS 33115 is suited for general-purpose and long-reach milling applications in CNC machining centers and manual mills. The long series (1L) configuration provides additional reach for deep-pocket milling where standard-length end mills cannot access. It is uncoated and carries no chipbreaker, making it appropriate for applications where coating compatibility or re-sharpening flexibility is a priority. The tool is rated for workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S, covering cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, steel, and superalloys.
Rated for workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S, covering applications in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, general steel, and superalloys. Fits standard 0.75-inch collets, end mill holders, and hydraulic tool holders.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists following standard toolholding procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before inserting or removing the tool. Verify runout with a dial indicator after seating in the holder, as excessive runout will accelerate edge wear on carbide tooling. Follow the tool manufacturer and machine builder guidelines for feeds, speeds, and depth of cut when programming for the rated workpiece materials.
