The SGS 32741 is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for high-performance milling in non-ferrous metal applications. Built to Series 43L specifications, it features a 0.75 inch diameter cutting edge, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 38-degree spiral helix angle that promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduced cutting forces. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the hardness and wear resistance needed for demanding material removal operations. A titanium diboride coating further extends tool life by reducing friction and heat buildup at the cutting edge. This end mill is intended for use by machinists and tooling professionals in shop environments requiring consistent, repeatable results.
The SGS 32741 is suited for milling non-ferrous metals including aluminum, brass, copper, and similar materials where aggressive chip clearance and surface finish quality are priorities. The long-reach geometry, with a 2.375 inch reach length and 6 inch overall length on a 0.75 inch straight cylindrical shank, makes it appropriate for deep pocket milling and cavity work where standard-length tools cannot reach. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation are standard for conventional CNC machining center setups. Three flutes balance chip load per tooth with adequate gullet volume for non-ferrous chip management.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills with standard 0.75 inch end mill or collet toolholders. Primary workpiece material designation is non-ferrous metal (material code N). Series 43L long-reach geometry.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with toolholder torque procedures and runout verification. Secure the shank fully within the holder to the recommended engagement depth and verify runout with a dial indicator before operation. Ensure the spindle and machine are fully powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Do not use this end mill on ferrous materials outside its rated material grade without consulting the manufacturer cutting data.
