The SGS 32734 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance material removal in non-ferrous machining applications. This long-series tool features a 0.5 inch cutting diameter, a 0.625 inch length of cut, and a 38-degree helix angle that promotes aggressive chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Constructed from micrograin carbide and finished with a Titanium Diboride (TiB2) coating, the 32734 is engineered to hold tight tolerances and extend tool life in demanding production environments. It is a centercutting, right-hand cut tool with a spiral flute configuration and a straight-cylindrical shank. Machinists and CNC operators specify this tool for its extended reach of 1.375 inches and reliable dimensional consistency.
The SGS 32734 is intended for milling non-ferrous metals, including aluminum, brass, copper, and similar materials where sharp edges, low friction coatings, and high helix angles provide measurable performance advantages. Its long-series designation and extended reach make it well suited for deep pocket milling, slotting, and contour work where standard-length end mills cannot access the full feature depth. The tool ships as a single end mill, sold individually, and is appropriate for CNC machining centers and manual mills with a 0.5 inch collet or tool holder.
Designed for use with non-ferrous workpiece materials (Material Code: N) in standard 0.5 inch collet chucks or end mill holders on CNC machining centers and compatible milling equipment. Part of the SGS Series 43L long-series end mill family.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine powered off and locked out per applicable safety procedures. Ensure the straight-cylindrical shank is fully seated and properly torqued in the tool holder or collet to the machine manufacturer's specification before operation. Inspect the cutting edges and TiB2 coating for chips or wear before each use. Do not use this tool on ferrous materials, as it is optimized specifically for non-ferrous applications.
